Eden Aflame: A Tale of Murder, Rumbling Fascism and Sex Clinics in Weimar Berlin

Berlin 1923 -- the glittering 20s have hit trouble. Boxy haircuts and high art clash with overnight poverty and fledgling Nazis. The ‘Wolf of Hannover’ splashes the news with abducted boys and girls, and the German public bay for his arrest, plus the next installment. Fourteen year old Detlef begins an affair with Missy Lehane - leading American light at his father’s bankrupting theatre - until Missy is slashed, for his father's failure to pay the Hahn brothers' protection. Detlef's search for revenge takes him into a turf war, political murder, the clinic of a ‘sexologist’ and the corrupt gaze of Inspektor Gründgens.

Perhaps a twisted alliance with the honorable Deputy Lange will save Detlef from the noose, or a Hahn cutting - unless darker forces are at work here...
